Age: 47 DOB: June 8, 1951 Fandom they are from: Harry Potter PB: Helena Bonham Carter Background: Bellatrix was the first born daughter of Cygnus Black and Druella Rosier Black of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black. Being a Black meant one thing, Pureblood at all cost. A few years later, Andromeda was born, followed by the baby of the family, Narcissa. Bellatrix decided that it would be she who would keep an eye on her sisters and Make sure that they did not sully the family name, and bloodline. The day arrived that Bellatrix received her acceptance letter into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy. The year of 1962 was when she started attending the prestigious school, even if she was around half-bloods and Mudbloods. The thought of someone of her heritage being taught next to the filth made her angry. It wasn’t uncommon to find Bella torturing some poor half-blood or Mudblood in between her breaks, but she was sure to never get caught. How would that look on the family name? It wasn’t much longer before Andromeda and Narcissa joined her at Hogwarts, all three of the Black sisters were sorted into Slytherin. During her fourth year she met a dashing young man by the name of Rodolphus Lestrange. She never really fell in love with the man, but he was a Pureblood and it was only fitting that the two of them should be together. Bellatrix found out that during this time her sister Andromeda was spending a lot of time with a Mudblood named Ted Tonks. She did not like this, not one little bit. She did everything within her power to keep Andromeda from seeing the filth anymore, but what she didn’t really realize was that she pushed her sister towards him more. Bellatrix graduated from Hogwarts, passing all of her classes and really didn’t have anything in mind to do after she left the grounds of the school. It wasn’t much longer after her graduation that she married Rodolphus Lestrange, and then found out that her sister was pregnant with the Mudblood’s child. To say that Bellatrix was livid was an understatement. If she could’ve found her sister, the Mudblood and their unborn child she would have killed them all. Then she heard of the Dark Lord, of his cause and finally Bellatrix had something to be passionate about. She became a Death Eater during Voldemort’s first uprising, relishing in the fact that they were going to rid the world of the half-bloods and the filthy Mudbloods. She loved torturing people; her favorite spell to do such with was the Cruciatus Curse. The war waged on, and Voldemort eventually fell much to the shock and surprise of Bellatrix. She managed to avoid being caught after his fall, and along with her husband, his brother, and Barty Crouch, JR. they found the Aurors Frank and Alice Longbottom. They tortured the two Aurors, thinking they could find information on how to restore Voldemort. Of course, it didn’t work, and the Longbottom’s were driven into madness. They were all caught, eventually, and all received lifetime sentences in Azkaban for their crimes. Fourteen years later, Bellatrix would escape from the island prison. She was reunited with the only man she ever really loved, Voldemort and resumed her rightful place in the Death Eater ranks. Another uprising was imminent, and she was pleased. However, she always questioned Severus Snape’s loyalties, but once Snape killed Dumbledore she was humiliated by her Lord. He told her to ‘prune’ her family tree from the filthy half-bloods and Mudbloods that sullied her family name. ((Spoilers for DH after this point)) Bella, for the first time in her life, felt fear. Especially when Greyback caught Harry, Hermione, and Ron with Hufflepuff’s cup and Gryffindor’s Sword. They should’ve been in her family vault, and not in the hands of those three. She stalled for time, not telling Voldemort that Harry had been captured. Bella stalled far too long and Dobby the house-elf came to the rescue of the trio. Bella killed Dobby by embedding a knife in his chest. Somehow she survived her Lord’s fury, and fought at the Battle of Hogwarts. The last thing that Bella remembers was a green light spiraling towards her that had been shot out of the end of the Blood-traitor Molly Weasley’s wand. Personality: Bella is sick, twisted, and sadistic in every sense of all of those words. She loves torturing people, and is ever relentless in doing such. Like she told Harry, you have to mean the curses that you cast at people. Her wand, Walnut and dragon heartstring, 12 & 3/4 inches, unyielding, shows much of her personality. The unyielding of her passion from ridding the world of Mudbloods, and half-bloods. Bella is also very proud, and holds herself like a queen at all times. She is regal, at least in her eyes, and will curse anyone who thinks otherwise. She doesn’t really care for that many people, unless they are of the inner circle of Voldemort’s Death Eaters, even then, if one receives praise, and she does not she get immensely jealous. She’s quick with her tongue, and even quicker with her wand. Psychotic? Yes, she’d like to thank you for noticing. Appearance: She’s tall for a woman, standing at a solid 5’11”, but her weight isn’t as good as it should be for a woman of her height. She looks emancipated at best. Her voice is harsh, and full of venom with every word that she speaks. Once upon a time, Bellatrix was a ‘handsome’ woman, but upon spending so long in Azkaban she has the same gaunt and haunted look that her former cousin Sirius Black also shares. Her hair is thick, black and falls about her shoulders in a wild whirlwind of curls. Half of the time, however, it is pulled up on top of her head and somewhat tame. Likes: Torture, Voldemort, the Cruciatus Curse, Narcissa, Rodolphus, sometimes her Death Eater comrades, knives, blood, innocents screams, smoking a cigarette and pomegranates.
